Hummus with Edamame
Making hummus is a breeze. Add edamame and has a high protein content or sandwich filling bath. You do not want to make your own hummus? You can buy hummus prepared at the supermarket and add the edamame or a number of other mix-ins below.

15 oz chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste in most supermarkets)
1-2 cloves of garlic
The juice of one lemon
1 cup cooked, shelled edamame
¼ cup 1/3 cup water, if needed
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
itinerary
1. In a food processor, combine the above ingredients and mix until smooth. You may need to add a little water to thin the hummus to the desired consistency.
Directions:
like hummus, but want to change the flavor slightly? Try adding one of the following: 2 tablespoons pepper ¼ cup Kalamata olives or 2 tablespoons chopped mixed fresh herbs, such as tarragon, thyme and parsley.
